7:45am- onsite at RR03 bore on Laytons. Tracks are being shot, Rail Pros are onsite, and grade is getting rechecked by Iowa Trenchless, with Flat Creek present(Kenny &Chris) to witness. Casing is 4 hundredths high. Everyone is ok with this.
8:40am- discharge pits are dug for the pumping of water on the west side of bore and additional work is being done on east side to prevent sediment entering into creek.
8:50am- crew is getting ready to weld head onto casing to begin turning.
10:00am- 3rd pipe is in the ditch now. I have asked them to remove the mud chunks in the gravel around the pipe.
11:24am- 5th pipe now laid and covered with gravel.
11:45am- 6” pump is moved and pipe is graveled up.
12:00pm- pipe is covered with material and detection tape placed as dozer makes roadway back over pipe.
1:20pm- Laytons property now has some silt checks installed.
1:30pm- crew is just about ready to begin bore, but first some final checks.
2:20pm- cutter is now fully engaged into the concrete. Boring begins.
3:05pm- 7joints are now laid for today on Rittenhouse.
4:00pm- 9 joints now in so far.
4:30pm- 10th joint for today as crew will now move pump and bed pipe where hose has been.
4:45pm- pump now getting moved.
4:55pm- gravel getting placed around pipe.
5:05pm- backfill begins.
