Turkey Creek Ph 1 - Flat Creek (Line Work)

6:50am- Pipe crew will be working to get MH A25 set today, but first a-pit will be broke to get water pumped down below work area. A couple more guys onsite as Chris will now be back to overseeing job instead of operating equipment.

7:30am- Boring crew to shoot casing this morning on receiving pit side at RR03. They punched through last Friday afternoon. I will be here to witness the alignment and grade as carrier pipe will also be installed.

Receiving pit side.

11:30am- So, We have been waiting at RR03 for crew to show up. I guess they couldn't land at the airport this morning due to the fog.
Carrier pipe is now being brought to pit and will begin going in.

11:45am- 1st joint going in casing.

12:00pm- we are a tenth high at this end with pipe in casing. We are flipping pipe over since the there is a tenth difference with spacers.

12:30pm- 56’ now placed inside casing.

1:40pm- crew will pull off spacer on west side  and east side that are not going to be in the casing.

3:10pm- After much figuring and conversing, the west side elevation of pipe (upstream) is 1.1’ lower than plan grade and east side (downstream) is 3 tenths high.
Turns out that the bore was done on a .2% instead of the .75% per plans. They had an old set the day they started this bore apparently. Both pipe runs each direction from bore will work out with some slight tweaking.

4:20pm- I’m now at the pipe crew site where they have set MH A25 and began running line today. 8 joints are now laid in place.

4:30pm- backfill is started now that Im onsite and dig tape is laid out so backfill can continue.

4:50pm- joint 9 is now laid to round out the day. Crew will continue to backfill more up to end of pipe.
