Turkey Creek Ph 1 - Flat Creek (Line Work)

7:15am- 2 man crew today will work on getting MH A21 set today and do backfill work. 

MH A21 location. 

8:35am- rock broke out now as excavator digs spoil out of the way. 

9:50am- water is now being pumped from hole. 

10:40am- water almost down now, but crew is working on cut off saw now as it wont stay running. 

12:10pm- well, no progress. Guys went and got another saw and are now back onsite. 

1:00pm- pipe has been cut to allow water in and installed in hole at MH A21. Gravel base is now down and grade is being figured out for manhole. 

1:10pm- grade is shot and MH A21 will be set consistent with what A20 was which is 1.5” low. I have also asked that they get a grade rod that is conducive to the “height”of the job needed. 

2:45pm- MH A21 base now set with 8.33’ of 27” sdr35. 

Pipe is lamped back to MH A20. 

3:00pm- crew will set barrel section and then move 6” pump up to this location and then backfill some. 

3:15pm- I will now be headed offsite. 

Turkey Creek Ph 1 - Flat Creek (Line Work)

7:45am- crew getting laser set back up as more pipe will be laid today. 

8:35am- 1st joint of the day now laid in place. 

9:35am- 2nd joint of the day. 

10:25am- 3rd joint now placed. 

11:20am- 4th joint now laid and grade was shot at end of pipe with about 50’ to go to get to MH A21. They are about 3” low, but started at MH A20 1.5” low. So looking ok at this point. 

1:00pm- 5th joint now in. Area of none graveled pipe is currently where the pump is sucking water from. 

1:35pm- 6th joint being set. 

2:20pm- 7th joint now being set. 

3:15pm- 8th joint now laid in place as excavator digs out for MH A21. 

3:55pm- Breaking rock for MH A21 while ditch is being backfilled. 

4:40pm- 9th joint in for the day. A total of 126’ of 27” sdr35 laid today. 

-Crew has stated they will work tomorrow beginning the day with setting MH A21 after more rock is taken out. 
Crew will round out today with backfilling the ditch. 

Turkey Creek Ph 1 - RL Persons (L.S.)

6:45am- water is getting pumped down so that more gravel can be placed today. More re ductile work today as crew will make tie in at the 8” existing line. 

Piers were covered last night. 

10:14am- connection now made to the 8” ductile. 

10:30am- now backfilling after plastic wrap was installed. 

11:45am- Clean rock still going in ditch with base rock being compacted in 12” upper lift. 

Clean rock almost at grade of bed rock now. Crews will continue to work until around 2:30pm, then head back home for the weekend. 

2:30pm- Crews are calling it a day.

7:35am - Flat Creek crew is continuing to break rock from from where they left off yesterday afternoon. Lots of ground water on site.


9:09am- Continue to break rock

10:27am- Set first two sticks of  27” sdr 35 

11:48am- Continue to excavate dirt for pipe placement 
2:00pm - 5 sticks of  27” sdr pipe installed 
3:40pm - 6 and 7 27” sdr pipe for the day

5:16pm - Flat Creek finished the day with placing 126’ of  27”sdr pipe

6:56am- Pumping water out of the wet well so they can get started for the day with the bituminous coating
7:01am - Tightening the bolts for the ductal iron pipe that was installed yesterday.

 




12:50pm - Compacting rock and finishing the bituminous coating




1:35pm - Concrete poured for the last 2 ductal iron supports.
