Turkey Creek Ph 1 - Flat Creek (Line Work)

6:35am- Iowa has been turning since 6am this morning. They only achieved another 3’ yesterday due to equipment issues again. They are now in approximately 46’ at this time.

7:05am- A look through the pipe from MH A24 - MH A25.

7:30am- dig tape goes down and backfill will proceed. Crew will then move to creek crossing at MH A16-17.

8:35am- ditch is now backfilled. Crew moving to MH A16-17 creek crossing now.

9:15am- crew is now pumping water from pits at MHA16.

10:15am- checking water flow through pipe.

11:40am- apparently casing is “sagging” now. Crew has rotated casing, but it doesn’t have the required fall across it now. Grades will be shot and checked by laser before making final decision.

1:20pm- casing is going to come out as it has been decided and the hole will be reamed again to get proper grade established.

1:30pm- work below the trestle bridge in the creek has begun to get water diverted from bank where the stabilization will be taking place.

2:40pm- casing will be cut now to get it back out of the hole due to the fact that the end is now hitting rock and cant be raised high enough to clear it.
3:05pm- casing now coming out of trench.

3:25pm- welder cutting end of casing back off for a beveled edge to match other casing so it can be welded back together once placed back into trench.

3:50pm- Flatcreek crew calls it a day.

4:25pm- Iowa had 60’ in, but augers have been pulled and more work is needed to force casing down. They will pull back 20’ of casing and begin cutting again to see if they can cut into the rock layer instead of climbing it.
