Turkey Creek Ph 1 - Flat Creek (Line Work)

Flatcreek to continue working on Line A and should reach MH A16 today. Del-Sha will get set up at next creek crossing @ MH A18-19. 

8:40am- crew still digging out for 1st joint of pipe for today. 

9:20am- joint 1 now in place. 

9:55am- #2 now getting placed. 

11:00am- 3rd pipe now in place. 

11:35am- 4th pipe now in place as crew will begin to dig out for MH A16. 

1:00pm- MH A16 area is dug out and crew will lay joint 5, then continue with setting 16’s base. 

3:20pm- crew is stopping at this point due to Del-Sha wanting to bore this creek crossing next and they don't want the manhole in the way. 

The crossing at here MH A18-19; Del-Sha says the rock isn’t solid enough for them to bore it directionally...?

4:20pm- line is backfilled now and pit dug on back for bore here at MH A16 location.

7:00am- Del-Sha are still reaming this morning. Getting closer to getting the hole ready for casing here at MH A24-25. 

7:15am- water is pumped down here on A line between MH A15-16 area. Crew will lay pipe today. 

8:45am- 1st joint now getting placed. 

9:20am- 2nd joint in place. 

10:20pm- 3rd in place. 

11:20pm- 4th joint placed. 4” Water pumps had to be switched out due to an issue with the diesel pump. 

12:50pm- Rock had to be broke out for next joint. 

1:45pm- 5th joint in place, now more rock is to be broke. 

2:15pm- 6th now placed. 

3:00pm- 7th joint getting placed. 

3:30pm- casi g is across the creek now at MH A24- 25. 

4:00pm- Grades are shot on casing. 

4:40pm- water is running the right direction through casing. 

Laser was also placed to ensure alignment of the casing. 

5:10pm- line crew is preparing to bed their 9th and final joint for the day.

6:45am- Del- Sha will continue to ream hole today at creek crossing between MH A24-25. 

7:15am- Flatcreek will continue to lay pipe upstream of MH A15. 

8:30am- still pumping water this morning...backfill continues in the meantime. 

9:30am- joint #1 is now in place. 

10:00am- a partial joint, 6’ is added in. 20’ now placed. 

10:35am- 2nd full joint now in. 34’ total so far. 

11:55am- I have contacted Chris for the second time requesting that the metal straps from the pipe bundles be picked up immediately before any more top soil goes down. Also reminded him that Flatcreek will be responsible for the damage to the  owners equipment when it happens due to straps left and buried onsite!

12:10pm- 4 joints now laid + the 6’ piece for 62’ laid so far. 

1:15pm- 76’ of pipe now laid 

1:50pm- 6 joints + 6’ now equals 90’ laid so far. 

2:20pm- 104’ now laid in place. 

3:00pm- 118’ now laid. Backfill occurs in the background. 

3:30pm- 9 joint + the 6’ piece now equals 132’ laid in place. 

4:20pm- 10 joints laid today + the 6’ piece =146’ of 27” ps46 pipe. Crew will continue with backfill to round out the day. 

4:45pm- Del-Sha still reaming, not with the 24” reamer. All appears to be going good. 

Turkey Creek Ph 1 - Flat Creek (Line Work)

6:50am- Iowa Trenchless appears to be done with this bore here at RR02. Carrier pipe to be installed today. 

7:35am- Del Sha is starting their 2nd creek crossing today at MH A25 - A24. 

8:10am- Flatcreek finishes MH A14 with placement of lid; wrapped and strapped. 

Hole is pumped down at MH A15 location. Crew will dig out and set manhole to start this section of pipe. 

9:50am- crew pulls tape and drops a rock for center of manhole, making sure circumference of hole is dug out enough. 

10:50am- MH A15 base now placed. 

11:00am- Del-Sha has made it across with the pilot hole and are now pulling back with first reamer. 

1:20pm- carrier pipe is getting loaded into casing at RR02 now. MH A6 side will be 4 hundredths low and A7 side will be near spot on. 

1:45pm- Laser is setting in pipe at RR02. GRADE BY LASER is .72%. 

2:25pm- 4 joints now in at MH A15. More gravel has been requested for top of pipe so that it is level across ditch, not domed. 

3:15pm- 5 joints now placed. 

3:45pm- 6th now in place. 

4:35pm- joint 7 now placed. Crew will finish out the say backfilling. 

5:00pm- Del-Sha still pulling back on the first pass with the 18” reamer.
