6:50am- At the Quarry this morning looking at the boulder pile. There are issues with the rock sizing. I have spoken to the loader operator and explained the “mass” of each rock and the significance of that weight and how critical it is to have the right size onsite. Just because it measures 36” one way doesn’t mean its acceptable. Minimum mass is 30”x30”.
9:15am- Crew back to laying pipe today! 1st joint of pipe now placed downstream of STA 71+00 approximately.
9:50am- 2nd joint now placed.
I have just spoken with the operator and told him to level the rock out across entire width of ditch since he is new to the site today.
10:30am- 3rd joint now placed.
11:20am- 4th joint placed.
12:00pm- 5th joint now placed.
1:25pm- 6th joint being placed.
2:24pm- 7th joint getting graveled.
2:55pm- 8th now being placed.
3:40pm- 9th goes in.
4:35pm- crew will clean out from in front of the hole at manhole yet today and then backfill open trench to round out the day. Tie in at MH A19 will occur tomorrow.
